Overview

For thousands of years charcoal has been used for a variety of purposes including as a fuel source and as a metallurgical feedstock. Recently, however, there has been significant research and interest in using sustainably produced biochar for multiple industrial purposes.

Industrial users of carbon are continually seeking ways to reduce their carbon footprint and many are desirous of reducing their footprint if not achieving carbon neutral production. Biochar applications include:
